Kerry brings  over 18 years of Court experience and 25 plus years of transport industry knowledge.  She was formerly a Magistrate before becoming a Crown Prosecutor, now working in defence and the fee paid Judiciary  she has experience from all sides of courtroom, added to that is hands on transport industry experience having been a Director and Transport Manager before qualifying as a Solicitor.

Her legal career commenced as an adult learner heading to university in 2010 whilst also running a transport business, being a Magistrate and raising a family.  She achieved a 1st class LLB with Honours and a distinction in her Legal Practicing certificate going onto her supervised legal training in 2016 with the coveted legal trainee scheme at the Crown Prosecution Service. where she spent time shadowing with the Police,  Youth Justice teams,  Probation service  and Traffic commissioner’s before she qualified as a Solicitor and went on to become a Crown prosecutor undertaking varied work in the Magistrates courts.   She is used to working under pressure in a very fast paced environment where an ability to quickly grasp the issues is essential. 

She has considerable experience dealing with Criminal / Motoring matters and the regulatory regime including various Appeal Courts where Kerry is a Fee Paid Member of the Upper Tribunal hearing appeals from Traffic Commissioner decisions and of the First Tier Tribunal where she works on several Regulatory panels.   

Kerry brings a calming approach to what are often very distressing circumstances for her clients, taking the time to understand concerns and explain often complicated processes and procedures in plain language.

She brings a rare mix of real life business knowledge as former transport operator,  employer, Judicial member, Criminal law advocate,  litigator, Risk assessor  and now practicing as a  freelance Solicitor.

Non legal work is also offered in the form of  business consultancy, training for operators &  transport managers, risk assessing for local authorities and crisis management delivered through the limited company structure of KP Legal Ltd.  Whilst her personal Legal advice is provided on a self employment basis via the Freelance Solicitor model authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation  Authority.
